چکیده

Objective: This study aims to analyze the ketogenic diet that slows down weight gain in juvenile Musmusculus induced with benzopyrene (BZP). Method: Thirty-six female mice (Mus musculus), 6-8 weeks old, weighted 15-25 grams were divided into six groups randomly. K1 (negative control, standard diet) inducedwith oleum olivarum, while K2 (positive diet), P1 (ketogenic 1), P2 2),P3 3) and P4 4) BZP subcutaneously right breast at a doseof 0.3mg/20gBB/day for 14 days. The was given next 28 Data analyzedusing ANOVA post hoc LSD test. Results: After 42 days, experiencedslower (p=0.000) because neurotoxicity administration of ketogenicdiet neurohormonal changes. increased ketone plasma level(p=0.000) reduced blood glucose levels (p=0.002) due nutritional ketosis state. Conclusions: Theketogenic fat:protein ratio 60:30 gain, decreasedblood as cancer inducer.

Ketogenic diet slows down mitochondrial myopathy progression in mice.

Mitochondrial dysfunction is a major cause of neurodegenerative and neuromuscular diseases of adult age and of multisystem disorders of childhood. However, no effective treatment exists for these progressive disorders. Cell culture studies suggested that ketogenic diet (KD), with low glucose and high fat content, could select against cells or mitochondria with mutant mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA), ...

Restricting inbreeding while maintaining selection response for weight gain in Mus musculus.

An experiment with mice was designed to test the relative efficiency of three selection methods that help to minimize the rate of inbreeding during selection. A common house mice (Mus musculus) population was selected for 17 generations to increase the weight gain between 21 and 42 days. The population was split at random into three lines A, B and C where three selection methods were applied: i...

Dietary fish oil as hepatoprotective agent in Mus musculus.

The administration of galactosamine in omega-3 polyunsatu-rated fatty acid (PUFA) supplemented mice resulted in lesser amount of damage in the liver tissue compared to the mice without prior supplementation of fish oil. Only 50% elevation in the plasma total bilirubin was detected in omega-3 supplemented mice injected with galactosamine over those supplemented with omega-3 without galactosomine...

Gastrulation in Mus musculus (common house mouse)

As mice embryos develop, they undergo a stage of development called gastrulation [7]. The hallmark of vertebrate gastrulation [7] is the reorganization of the inner cell mass [8] (ICM) into the three germ layers [9]: ectoderm [10], mesoderm [11], and endoderm [12]. Mammalian embryogenesis [13] occurs within organisms; therefore, gastrulation [7] was originally described in species with easily o...
